Which laptop/notebook is best for graphic design?
I've been having such a hard time choosing which laptop notebook I want.I need a laptop with a GREAT graphics card since I do a lot of graphic design and have more than just a couple art programs on my computer. So, that means I need more memory and so on.I was thinking about these AsusSony VaioHPI've read both very good and very bad reviews about each brand.I'm looking one for less than $800. My top choice is a Sony. I currently have an HP G70, but I really don't like how it overheats quickly.
Good laptops for graphic design classes?
my major is web design and i will be doing alot of graphic design and whatnot too. i need alot of memory good graphics and all that jazz. suggestions? idk alot about computers crap so if ya could help me out that would be super dee duper. im looking at toshibasno apples if you don't know what kind of computer let me know what kinds of thingys i need or i should get. what to look for in hard disk drives and ectthanx D
Mac or pc for graphic design and image editing?
Im going to college soon to study illustraition and art historyI want a 'machine' that can really do all that i need. that includes graphic design, image editing and essay writing i use a pc already but lately its been giving my problems so ill be getting a new computer anyway.
Is there a good (open source) software for graphic design of prices for items at stores?
I want something like paint shop pro, or print master, for printing little papers of prices for my little commercial stores. The problem is for my dad's and mom's use age of 60 , so it must be extremely easy for use, for dummies. Something like a wizard, step 1 Thing name ej, Complete drumset step 2 Price , step 3 Some idiot border pattern, step 4 print . And better to be open source so it's free
Best graphic design laptop?
Hi, I am currently running on a HP netbook, very basic . I am intrested to pursue my studies into cinema graphic design and am wondering what computer to buy. What is the best PC I can get for low level graphic design?
I am starting out in graphic design, illustrating children's books, etc. I use Serif software, which is similar to Photoshop. I also use the internet heavily, having multiple programs windows running at one time. I do not know a lot about computers, so if you give me all the specs, please be very clear and if possible send me a link to where I can buy build the proper computer. I want a PC not a mac and a Desktop not a laptop . And I'm hoping to stay under $600.My major problem with my laptop Acer Aspire 5610 is that it constantly stalls or crashes as Im doing graphic design work. The picture will have to reload again and again with each change I make. Very very frustrating. I am also using a Genius Graphic Pen Tablet. Thanks for your help advice. in response for the recommendation insistence that mac is the only way to go. I appreciate your opinion expertise on the matter, however, converting to a mac is not an option for me. I have worked on macs before and found them frustrating and counter intuitive. With all of my work experience being on PCs, I have no desire to convert to a diff platform. I know that there are plenty of graphic designers who work on PCs, thus I know its more than possible to get a fairly good system for my needs. That being said, can you make any recommendations for a PC system? Thank you again.

Best graphic design software on android?
I have a graphic design class and we are constantly given images to make small changes to and random projects each week e.g. we had to make an image that meant something personal to us using bits and pieces of other art works smoke whisps off this, wings off that etc I used Photoshop and corel draw to do these things. I hate having to wait till I get home to do this all the time. I need to know the best apps on Android for this. I'm on a xoom 10.1 running ics
Anyone have an Associate's Degree only in Graphic Design?
I'm thinking of going to school for graphic design, but I won't be able to afford going to a university so I am thinking of just joining a graphic design program at a community college and getting a 2 year degree. Anyone here have a good job working as a graphic designer with just an associate's degree? Is there a big difference in income between a bachelor's versus a an associate's degree? Big money from Graphic Design?
Hi Guys,I'm a year away from going into University, and am trying to figure out what I would like to do. I have a passion for graphic design, mainly sports and corporate identity design. But I also really like modern home loft apartment design, and these units generally cost a lot, upwards from 500k. From stats and stuff that I've read, a graphic designers salary isn't enough to be able to afford a place like this. It might seem a little petty to go for money over a passion, but I'm hoping to combine both. I'm wondering what the best options are for me to pursue that will allow me to still use design, but also rake in a pretty good salary. I mean ideally I would like to be making upwards of 150k, but that's like a 2 % chance in the design industry. Some options I've looked at are applying to work for an actual graphic design studio, just freelancing, freelancing design studio, working as a designer for a company that's not a design studio, working as a designer for a sports team. Those are all the options I can see right now. On a side note, how much would going into a Business Marketing type of degree at school improve my salary, if at all? If I did choose that route, would I still be able to use graphic design?Thanks for any and all help, it's much appreciated,Jim
