I'm looking to completely optimize my computer. It's an eMachines EL1852G 52W 1 TB Harddrive and 3 gb of ram. more info emachines.com ec en US content model PV.NCW02.001 I just want my computer to have the best performance possible without spending loads purchasing a new computer is not an option. Right now I only have used 21.2 GB of 913, but I'm sure there is tons of junk leftover files, etc on my computer. I want to know how I can tweak the settings on my computer to make it top notch I'm also looking for the right programs more on that below to use on it.Here is what I use and am looking for better options Feel free to recommend anything Internet Browser I'm looking for speed, not much interested in things like plug ins or appearance but I don't like IE at all Comodo DragonAntivirus Avast Internet SecurityFirewall Comodo FirewallAnti mal Malwarebytes pro Defrag auslogicsCleaning optimization Glary utilities pro , tuneup utilities 2012 pro , advanced systemcare 5 pro , ccleanerI also use Secunia PSI to keep my software up to date.I like playing games a lot, so I have GBoost and Game Booster 3, as well.I'm not sure what file packaging program or whatever they're callled, I mean programs like WinRAR, 7 zip, etc. is best but I have those two at the moment Also, I never had microsoft office it was only trial so now I have openoffice. I'm not sure where to go with that. I definitely can't afford by buying office suite. I'm thinking of using google documents. Another thing I was considering was restoring the computer to factory condition how could I safely do this? the only important thing I really use my computer for is schoolwork no shopping or anything , but don't I need to back my files up or something?I've only had this computer for about 5 months, and I feel like its performance is nowhere near its potential. Norton on my Computer is saying that my PC needs a tune up and my internet is acting really slow and stupid so it says I need to run a disk optimization,which I found out is kind of like a librarian organizing files on your computer, correct me if I am wrong ,It also says that I have not removed unnecessary files from the computer or have outdated files on internet explorer.so if I run a disk optimization and a file clean up, will this delete a downloaded program from my computer? because my brother who paints downloaded a painting program and he doesn't want me to do anything that might delete it off.help please, I am tech challenged lol
